Wait until after the Holiday to fill up. The price of gas has gone up 30 cents in the last 24 hours.

Gasoline pricing is ridiculous. Now we have to get excited when it drops from $4.00 to $3.79. It still took the best part of a 50 dollar bill to fill a Subaru.

Filling up at 1/2 or even a 1/4 to E, its still killing me. What I don't understand is how one station is $4.25 and a 1/4 mile away its $3.89. Makes me wanna stand at the one station with a big sign pointing to the cheaper gas!

I wonder if filling up when I'm only a down a quarter tank will let me live in denial because of the lower total price! :-)

it took over a half century to finally reach $4 a gal in 2008. it only took 2.5 yrs. to reach $4+ a gal. under this Pres. and Admin., and there is no “HOPE” as far as i can see it’s going to get better with all the lawyers in Washington D.C.,

I have been using alternate modes of transportation – bicycle and walking mostly. Or getting a ride from family and friends when I can. So the occasional gasoline purchase has been few and far between.

unless it is down $1 at pumps, I would not consider the prices dropped, 10c does not mean much to my pocketbook

Boo1989: "oBOWmao's plan is $8 a gallon gas, just the change YOU voted for so SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!"
You've got that exactly right! As I've said out here in the past, when he was running for office, he said we'd be paying two to three times as much for energy and electricity if he won and his agenda was passed. We're getting there, and we will one day too soon. That's the change people obviously wanted, but not me.
RetFireLT: "Been killing us all for... um, how long has Obama been in office?"
Too damned long!
Judgemobile: "$ 3.48 in Cleveland...but all this is MEANINGLESS if the earthquakes and RAPTURE happen tomorrow like the prophets of doom have warned."
NOT gonna happen! Not tomorrow! Not next week! Not this month! Nor the end of the world. When the earthquakes really start hitting though, it'll SEEM like the world's coming to an end, but it won't!

Shukria/Dankon/Toda/Hvala/Falamenderit/Mahalo/Kosonem/Asante/Thank you PD! I'll have to check it out.
Something of note: I see that 38% of you think that government regulation on speculators is going to solve our energy or oil and gas issues. It's not, and you need to get it through your heads. We need to lower the amount we're using, which means to reduce dependency upon oil, upon foreign oil and upon gasoline. If CAFE standards are raised, and they COULD be, then that would help with newer vehicles hitting the road. I guess some of you think that since this is the US that we're entitled to $1 or $2 a gallon gasoline. Well, WE'RE NOT! If each of you and everyone in this country were to improve their vehicle's mileage, and they could if they have sufficient money, then that would reduce the amount we use. If you and the rest of the people in this country we're truly concerned about mileage and price of gas, you'd make changes to how you're driving, where you're driving, when you drive, etc. If everyone did, we'd have lower prices, plain and simple. While the higher prices we're paying is mainly due to MANIPULATION of the markets and commodity prices, if we did use less, and I'm talking at least another 5 to 10% less of what we're consuming, we'd be paying less. But, too damned many of you truly don't care and truly believe the government solves everything for you or this country or at least for oil and gas prices, and that's simply not true. The government doesn't fill your tank, it doesn't decide which vehicle or the type you buy and drive, or how you drive or what you do or don't do to your vehicle to get better mileage, YOU DO!!!
Some of you might hate me for that, or you might delete me as a buddy here or whatever, but I don't care about that. What I care about is getting people to use less, and at least I've been able to do that with some, one person at a time. Wish more would. Maybe, when you're paying $5 or more a gallon for gas, or paying $3 or $5 for a loaf of bread, maybe then you will! You sure as hell won't be making that much more when it gets that high.

i know that $3.68 is "better" than $4, but I liked it better at $0.94 not too many years ago.
