One less thing to worry about: Gasoline prices

MarketWatch -- The U.S. economy still faces lots of big challenges — a mountain of foreclosures, a fiscal cliff and the ever-present euro crisis — but one worry seems to be fading away: high gasoline prices.

A month ago, it looked like retail gasoline prices would soar above $4 a gallon and stay there all year, sucking precious dollars out of American consumers’ pockets, and hobbling the economic recovery. By early April, the average price of a gallon had risen to $3.94, jumping an incredible 50 cents in just two months’ time, according to the Energy Information Agency.

The media was full of stories about the pain at the pump and about what the price of gas might mean for the economy, and for the re-election chances of President Barack Obama. Democrats were on the defensive and Republicans could ...

The article didn't check the west coast in the last two days. We are way over the 4 mark and may head even higher. The last two days prices in my town have been jumping by 8 to 20 cents. Just look at the heat map.

This little decrease in gasoline prices isn't going to fix the economy.

Prices increase dramatically quicker than they fall. I wouldn't count on fuel prices flattening.

Prices still going up in Utah. Probably because of Memorial Day coming in a few weeks, so they'll want to get it up to as close to $4 as they can.

Some stations are at $3.75 now for regular. A couple of them near here are $3.86, but that's normal for them.. and people still buy gas there.

In spite of bigger supplies, lowering oil prices and reduced demand, our local gas prices at the pump jumped 25 cents yesterday.

This is the opposite of the rule........what goes up must come down. When fuel comes down.....IT WILL GO UP, EVEN MORE!

Why gas price take so long to go down when oil price took a dive? When it's up it's up very fast, within hrs.

This is TOTAL BS Prices rose 4 cents a gallon at one station in Fernley today in just 3 hours!!!!!

Ga prices are going to rise dramatically and I predict will reach close to $7 per gallon before the summer is over.

Don't forget that Obama's EPA has been releasing new regulations which are driving the closing of more refineries. And recent news stories are indicating that the Western USA will suffer significant price increases this summer.

WAKE UP AND GROW A BRAIN!!!

I guess accepting the things we cannot control, understand, or change makes me feel powerless to prices I have to deal with every day. Time to use a bicycle more often. Kinda togh when I have twenty mile commute to work. No matter what the price. High, low, or in between I gotta accept it and deal with it.
