One less thing to worry about: Gasoline prices

MarketWatch -- The U.S. economy still faces lots of big challenges — a mountain of foreclosures, a fiscal cliff and the ever-present euro crisis — but one worry seems to be fading away: high gasoline prices.

A month ago, it looked like retail gasoline prices would soar above $4 a gallon and stay there all year, sucking precious dollars out of American consumers’ pockets, and hobbling the economic recovery. By early April, the average price of a gallon had risen to $3.94, jumping an incredible 50 cents in just two months’ time, according to the Energy Information Agency.

The media was full of stories about the pain at the pump and about what the price of gas might mean for the economy, and for the re-election chances of President Barack Obama. Democrats were on the defensive and Republicans could ...

So it's may 11 avg $ of gas here in tampa is 3.45. So I will be back on memorial day and let you know what the $ of gas is.

Sure we have rampant inflation, but with the European financial woes the USD has bounced back fairly well, despite the destructive policies of the POTUS.

Unless, of course, GOP policies are more likely to tank the economy. A crappy economy is a great recipe for lower gas prices. We saw it in 2008-2009!

Most of us GasBuddy's know the up and down action very well. It is the why and how to make the price reflective of the reality of supply and demand that needs the spotlight of the news media turned fully upon it.
