No Limit for the near future. _ Too many of us "lower middle class" unable to stay home/off the roads to make a difference. _ Then again, the 'Wealthy' can afford to ignore the price and live life as usual...

The cost of gas will continue to go up because we are not trying to do anything about it.

What Hoppy1313 Said...
Oil folks have been sticking it to us... for wayyyyyy toooo longggggg :(
long live hybrid electrics, corn-oil/bio-fuels, hydrogen and solar - these are the future...,
i'm furious and we need to stop "taking it", caving in.., wilting to oil rich whims.. Canadians tend to be fairly complacent and conservative people... populace wise.. we don't have the power that the U.S.A. does -we are 1/10th their population.. but there is nooo way.. NO REASON.. why A U.S. Gallon of Gas (3.84 Litres) in Ontario Canada is....$ 4.61 yet the same Gallon in Virginia Beach is.. $ 3.27 ! Who Is Getting Gouged?
Canadians got a 9 cent a litre JACKING of Price.. this week.. in one gulp.. 40 or 50 litres to fill a tank.. thats $5.00 more per fill!
...cause we measure and sell in litres (which are smaller units) the oil companies think they can hood wink us.. by.. slipping in a nickle here a nickel there.. we won't complain. :(
I bet if Citgo... or Shell USA, or Sunoco USA tried to jack pump prices up $0.345 (34.5 cents a gallon) - in one SWOOOP ..ding..dingg goes the pump.. - YOU AMERICANS would haul the gas jockey and gas bar owner into the streets - pour gas on them .. and torch them for being greedy and stupid.. - (im not encouraging violence)... but YOU FOLKS know you have a voice.. and you protest / voice your opinions and exercise your power when people try to put the screws to you ) ...not here in Canada :( we are tooo meek :(

Does it really matter? All the costs are going to be passed to the consumer. For at least 3 years now the big oil companies have turned in tens of billions of dollars profit quarterly and they don't see a problem with that. It affects everything. Food prices are going up because of transportation costs. Airlines are raising prices because of fuel. Even our garbage collection has a fuel surcharge on it, which was about 16% on the last monthly statement. We've all heard commercials where retired people on fixed incomes sometimes have to choose between food and medicine. I'm sure there are people out there who now must choose between food or gas to be able to get to work. Like I said above, the price will be passed on to the consumer. Off my soapbox now...

It's already at, what, $115/barrel? Unless something fundamentally changes: a new president, the war ends, aliens come and teach us how to turn dirt into gasoline, there's no limit to how high it can go.
Therefore, I said more than $140.

I think if the government gets ahold of inflation we shouldn't see it get that high... but if the way things are going continues, we may see $150 a barrel prices...

I just paid $60.00 for 16.5 gallons of gas. How is an hourly worker supposed to get to work, when one day of pay goes to gas?

Look at the gas stations that charge the highest prices. They don't care. People buy gas because the station is on the convenient side of the street.

It's been about $114 this week. Considering we've got a long ways to go in the year, I don't see why it won't be over $140 by year end.

we have to pay whatever the oil companys put the price at. its rediciules are government needs to step in and start protecting the consumer. ohh ya wait isnt there already a part of the government thats supposed to be set up to do so? I think its called the cunsomer protection agency.
